My next project is about what it was like growing up in Villa West Trailer Court in Greeley, Colorado circa 1979-1986. Check back to see where I am with this. Here’s a little sample:
The entire house was empty but for a white touch-tone phone nestled like an egg in the green shag carpet. The trailer seemed huge reflected in the smokey mirrors mounted on the laminate paneling. I believed, at the age of five and after moving for the third time in four months, that this was another grand adventure. Little did I know that this box on wheels would be my home for nearly seven years and even now at thirty-seven it would remain the structure I called home longer than any other.
