April 10th is a historic day, not because of my book coming out, though that excites me enough to blog about it. There are many more April 10th events, but these are the most interesting highlights (thanks Wikipedia):
1710 – The Statute of Anne, the first law regulating copyright, enters into force in Great Britain.
1912 – The Titanic leaves port in Southampton, England for her first and only voyage.
1925 – The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is first published in New York City, by Charles Scribner’s Sons.
1970 – Paul McCartney announces that he leaves The Beatles for personal and professional reasons.
1972 – Bill & Karen Adams get married and 14 months later have Jim!!! Happy 40th Bill & Karen!!!!
So, good or bad, tomorrow is the day Heart Warriors becomes “official.” It can’t be as devastating as the Titanic or the break-up of the Beatles. Let’s hope it’s as successful as my in-laws’ forty year marriage or you know,The Great Freaking Gatsby. OK, let’s hope it’s somewhere in between.
Little book, I set you free on the world. What will you do, where will you go, and who will take you in? Only time will tell!
