Six Days Later . . .

I just got home from seeing a movie; it was The Lorax.   I am trying to not weep, and I am failing. Today was “Take Your Kids to Work Day.”  It was awesome.  My kids got to see all the cool things my company does (we make the computers that made The Lorax film).  My kids  learned about the environment and ate lunch in our cafeteria.  To tie off the day, the company I work for rented a theater for us and showed The Lorax. Here is another retrospective post from my old blog. This was one of my more popular posts, and I figured I’d share it again.  I will mention this, I don’t do the Duggers.  I just don’t get it. Remembering Mary on Her Thirty-Seventh Birthday

The first time I met my best friend Mary Chosa was in Mrs. Stewart’s adviser group.  Mary was a freshman and I was a sophomore.  With our friend Melanie, we became what my younger sisters not so affectionately  coined “The Nerd Herd.”  We were all bright, but Mary and Melanie were artists, and I was a writer – even then.
